As you probably know, a vegetarian diet doesn’t include any meat. People who follow this diet also tend to avoid their sugar consumption and alcohol intake, and usually drink more water than most people do. Similarly, vegetarians are usually very aware of how food will impact their bodies.

Still, many people miss vitamin D3 when they follow a vegetarian diet. Vegetarians may also be deficient in calcium, which can have a major impact on their teeth. For example, the lack of these two ingredients can lead to an increased risk of gum disease, mostly because your teeth may soften, making them more prone to cavities and decay.

Overall, a well-balanced diet can help your teeth stay healthy and strong for years to come. If you’re interested in following a vegetarian diet, we recommend eating plenty of fruits, grains, and legumes.
