Root Canals

Root canals are the cavities that exist inside the walls of a tooth. When there is tooth decay, the pulp may be in danger of permanent damage. In these situations, a root canal treatment may be required to save the tooth before it decays further and is irreparably damaged. During a root canal procedure, the pulp is cleaned and the pulp cavity is filled in order to prevent an infection from developing in the tooth. This procedure will should quickly relieve your toothaches and stop any infection from progressing.

Dentures

Dentures are removable prosthetic devices constructed to replace missing teeth, and are supported by surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity. A full denture, also called a complete denture, replaces all of the natural teeth and provides support for cheeks and lips. By replacing missing teeth, dentures not only support sagging facial muscles, but also improve a person’s ability to speak and eat. Full dentures are divided into two categories – conventional and immediate – depending on when they are made and inserted into the mouth.

Crowns

A crown is an aesthetic covering or a tooth-shaped “cap” that is placed over another tooth or implant to provide it stability. Crowns are generally used to improve the strength or appearance of teeth. When a large cavity threatens the ongoing health of a tooth, a crown is a good option. Crowns are also used to restore the shape and size of chipped or damaged teeth. They are typically bonded to the tooth using dental cement.

Bridges

Dental bridges are false permanent teeth that are used for filling dental gaps caused by missing teeth. They are usually anchored to the adjacent healthy teeth with cement and resin or metal bands. There are three types of dental bridges – fixed, cantilever, and resin bonded. The quality of the teeth, position of the dental gap, and condition of the teeth at the two sides of the gap decide which type of dental bridge is suitable to replace the missing teeth.

Dental Insurance

We are pleased to accept most traditional plans. We are in-network providers for Cigna PPO, Delta Dental Premier and Guardian PPO. We will file out-of-network claims with your insurer as a courtesy and collect an estimated co-pay at time services are performed. However, we remind you that your specific policy is an agreement between you and your insurance company. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for your total obligation should your insurance benefits results in less coverage than anticipated.

On your visit, we will perform a full checkup and necessary low radiation digital x-rays. After the checkup is complete, the doctor will meet with you to discuss your X-Rays and recommend a treatment plan to improve your overall dental health.
